Vikings and Boats and Parties 2

Saturday, 16 September
Today we visited the Lindholm Hoje (Viking Grave Museum?). It is one of the most notable ancient monuments in Denmark. It was the furthest I've ever been within Aalborg. The weather was good as usual, the sun and the wind. It was good to take a day trip to somewhere especially during the weekend, to just keep yourself occupied.

And I loved this trip because the museum was located very close to nature and there were trees and vast fields of green green grass. And there were rams grazing among the graves too! We learnt how to identify a Viking grave. If you look at the photo with the stones arranged in a circle, the body was buried within the circle. However, sometimes the bodies are cremated within the circle instead of being buried.

Christiane and me slowly approached the herd of rams to take pictures of them. Then suddenly a ram (the one in the photo above), started trotting towards us rather quickly. We started to back off, because its horns looked "deadly". Being my usual self, and being used to talking to animals, I shouted at it to stand still! And IT DID!! I was amazed. Even when I started walking towards it again, it just stood still and looked at me with its silly eyes! HAHA...we were both so amazed. :)
It was a really good day out. Something to do other than partying and studying. Lalala...talking about studying...haha...I haven even touched my books yet...geez...reality setting in....
